Prague was a nice place. By nice place I mean a place more our speed than Switzerland. It seems like the Italian graffiti artists learned their trade from the Czech. If we hadn’t already been in Milan I might have been worried.
This is obviously an old city and the castle was an amazing sight. In many parts the city was so old and roads so tightly woven together that you couldn’t fit cars or you could only have 1 way with a 2′ shoulder. This made it interesting to peruse the shops etc. The sidewalks all over the city are paved with what looks like 4″ marble squares, in interesting patterns. Literally every street! Even the streets in many of the older areas are paved with large versions of these bricks. It was very neat!
The Charles bridge spans the river here and there were plenty of boats driving around. Mostly dinner/lunch cruiser types but an equal number of paddle boats and paddle boarders. Since they had waterfalls they had lockes which separated the two types of boats making for an interesting location. We spent an evening people watching on the river and it did not disappoint. At one point we started playing Jorts jorts jorts capris you know kinda like duck duck goose! We also saw a crew of guys dressed alike carrying another in a blowup boat. That night we were treated to an impromptu fireworks display! I’m sure it was related to the music festival we stumbled through! We’d forgotten it was Saturday!
We left Prague on an overnight train! We even had a private sleeper car room which was interesting! Not to mention way better sleeping than the bus!!!!
Amazing wooden doorway, no idea why I like these so much!
Why is this guy hanging??? No idea
The castle!!!
